In my opinion, you'd better change to RMB or Yuan, because it is convient for you to purchase something.

The best place to shipping is Xiushui Street, everyday many forigners bargain and purchange the clothes. As for Jade, you can go to Panjiayuan, where many people sell and buy the Jade and Chinese old articles,especially at weekend.
