Taxi or Bus to Terracotta Warriors |

I willl be in Xian on the evening of the 24th Feb 08 & fly out at 4.40pm on the 25th Feb 08.
We are planning to go to the Terracotta Warriors first thing in the morning of the 25th Feb 08 with either the 306 Bus from the Railway Station or a Taxi.
What is the quickest way straight there & back without stopping at any crappy shops?
How long does it take to get there by bus & taxi?
Also what is the quickest way to the airport from our hotel in Xian & how long does the trip takeCost is not an issue.

Taxi might be quicker than the bus, if you get a ethical driver who doesn't stop at any other places.
The official 306 bus gets there in about 70 mins each way.
Where is your hotel? Reckon on about 1 hour to the airport in a taxi.

The buses are easy, but there is no doubt that catching a taxi there would be quicker, but I don't know how you would go catching a taxi back to Xi'an again, we didn't see any around.
The airport is nearly an hours drive by taxi west of the city, and the Warriors is about an hours drive east of the city, but there is a ring-road around the city so it would probably take about 1.5 - 2 hours to get from the warriors to the airport by taxi. |
