I tried the search function and came with too many questions about hotels suggestions in Guangzhou to countSo I was ask those who's familiar with Guangzhou.

I am interested in interesting architecture, nature and photography so I am thinking visiting the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall and Shamian Island.

Perhaps going to see the 5 Rams statue. Also, the day in Guangzhou will be right after a visit to Xiamen. Will I be underwhelmed by the architecture in Shamian Island compared to Gulangyu?

I am also interested in purchasing tea( yes, I will be shopping for that in Fujian as well). Last year, on the bus passing through Guangzhou, we
saw a street filled with tea shops. Where is this? Or will I be better off at a "tea market"- again where? I will be going with a master bargainer fluent in Cantonese so no worries about language.

Finally, we'll be arriving in the morning and probably leaving by 5 or 6pm. In what order should we do the sights? We plan to walk, take the bus, metro or even taxi if necessary. Any recommendations for lunch spots? Coffee cravings? I will be okay with anything except for dim sum houses because I will have my fill of dim sum by the then.
