Hi -- I am planning to be in China for two weeks and would love to know what are absolute "must see" sights. This could be a once in a lifetime trip for me, so I want to be sure I plan well for it and fit in all the great things to see. (I am planning to travel about a month from now.) Any advice would be appreciated! Mabel

I recommend Yunan Province where still you can see old style of chinese culture. The course is Kunming-Dali-Lijiang-Zongdian-Tiger leaping gorge. You can see Modern china in Kunming, old chinese local culture in Dali and Lijiang, Tibetan culture in Zongdian and Himalaya Mountain tracking with donkey in Tiger leaping gorge. Yunan is most tourists are concentrated and well organized foreign tourism. If you go china you will be faced communication problem even with chinese tour guide of course most local people cannot understand English at all even yes and no! You can waste lot of time in the street because of communication problem and cultural misunderstanding so well maintained foreign tourism is important especially traveling china.
