Hi.........

I am going to be Xi’an china very soon, I would like to visit Lhasa after my 3days visiting Xi’an, and I want to know, is there any train from Xi’an to Lhasa? How long it will takes by train to Lhasa? What are the climates like there?

There are several trains from Xian to Lhasa


T222/T223 departs from Xian 06:45 and arrive to Lhasa 17:21
T27 departs from Xian 08:48 and arrive to Lhasa 20:00
T164/T165 departs from Xian 10:12 and arrive to Lhasa next day 21:00
T264/T265 departs from Xian 10:12 and arrive to Lhasa 21:00

It takes about 35 hours from Xian to Lhasa .

It is not idea to visit Lhasa these days , it is minus 5 to minus 4 . Everyday ther is a wind , it is cold and windy in Winter .

Xian is around 5 - 10°C , you can think about to visit Guilin instate of Lhasa . The Yangshuo of Guilin is really good place to visit . look at this photo :
