I think it is a good news for you all. I just came back from Tibet last month. Through friends recommended, I'm able to get legal Tibet permit from tibetfit@gmail.com to travel without tour in Tibet. I also notice their permit is legal Tibet permit which means you can keep it yourself, not those type of "invisble" permit which you never see it even end of the tour. With this legal permit, you really can travel without tour in Tibet even there is a checking.
I hope this information can help those would like to travel in Tibet without joining any tour. I face this problem troublesome me quite some time and I heat to join stupid tour too. Luckily I got friends been there before and give me this good recommendation.
