Hello all...

I don't think I was very specific when I asked these questions previously.

I would really like to find out details regarding overland 4WD from Kunming-Lhasa. Our plan (we would like) is to overland from Kunming-Lhasa and bus from Lhasa-Golmud.

The prices based from this site indicate about 5000Y.... 4WD Kunming-Lhasa. Is this per person?

My partner and I would like to travel this way as it sounds amazing....but we can't afford it if that is each...it is much cheaper to fly to Lhasa.

Second question....Does this cost include a Tibet permit??

I met a couple last year that went that way overland. They said it was pretty cheap. Noodlesoup around 5-7 rmb. Accomodation around 20 rmb per person (basic). They paid around I think 6000 rmb for the whole 4wd and permits but not including food and accomodation.
