Will be traveling from Guangzu to Shanghai mid-April, as a part of a long trip in China. We have Time, but we wouldnt know what are the recommended places from one point to the other. Any suggestions? (Anything is interesting for us - Great outdoors, Interesting Culture, Lovely relaxation). any thing you liked which is approx. on the road/tracks between these cities? Or should we head along to Shanghai. (Beijing, Mongolia, Tibet and Yunnan will follow later in the year)

If you are taking the train between the two cities, you'll be passing through Nanjing which I enjoyed a lot. The youth hostel is ideally located and a long city-bus ride from the station will take you to the area. The hostel as well as the people working there are great!
