I'm doing tour business for foreign travellers in China, obvisously we've done many times of money transfer from foreign banks like from USA, Australia and UK as well to my account in Bank of China, no problem at all, only the bank commission, the charge varies from different banks out of China. I asked the bank of China and was told as the receiver, they don't charge at all, but the sender banks in other countries did charges, most of time 10US$ no matter how much the transfer was, but some banks charge less, like recently one clients remitted us the deposit from Australia, only charge 5US$ for more than 1,000 US$ earnest money.
