Domestic flights in China |
|
|
I usually pick the cheapest tickets I can get but a search on the web gives about the same price for an internal flight from Shanghai to Beijing for the following two airlines:
- Air China
- China Eastern Airlines
Any comments on which one you would recommend in terms of service although I find reliability (specially punctuality) the most important thing. Or are both more or less on par? Just a few comments would help.
Thanks a lot. |

The price is set by the government.
That's why every company offers the same price.
But it's possible to get discounts (10 to 60%), if you book between 2 weeks and 1 hour in before you leave.
Like this coming monday: regular price (SHA-PEK) is 1130 RMB, but a lot of different airlines offer it for 450 RMB.
I always pick the cheapest airline that has multiple flights to the same destination.
That way I hope they can put me in another flight the same day, if my flight is cancelled for some reason (never happend though). |

Discounted China domestic tix with multiple cities |
|
|
Anyone have any idea(s) or facts about buying cheap tickets within in China with multiple cities? Specifically, Beijing to Urumqi to Lhasa to Beijing?
Expecting to be back in China month of October this year. Would like NOT to have to buy all separate one-way tix -- too $$$$.
Thanks! |
