Re: what about a tour to Tibet at this time of the year? |

Tibet is a very large place with varying climates. Which part of Tibet are you talking about? Now in Lhasa it is around 12C during the day and around -3C at night. With the sun during the day, Lhasa can feel quite warm even in winter. I just returned from Lhasa this morning and I was wearing just a thin sweatshirt or light jacket during the day. Chamdo in east Tibet is around 2C during the day and around -17C at night. Ngari in west Tibet will be around -5C during the day and -20C or colder at night. I am sure you will only be in the Lhasa region, so unless you are from South-East Asia, central Africa or the sun, the weather shouldn't be a huge factor. |
