CURRENCY FOR CHINA |
|
|
In China you will need the local currency variously known as Renmimbi,Yuan or Kuai which are different names for the same thing .
A rough equivalent is the English Sterling,Pound or Quid.
There is roughly 6.3 yuan to an Australian dollar.
It is not an international currency so can be difficult to exchange outside of China and Hong Kong.
If you are in Australia and want a float for when you land Thomas Cook can help at a less favourable exchange rate.
Australian dollars can be changed in any large city in China and of course your normal credit card will work at appropriate ATMs in China.
Keep receipts as you do not want to leave China with Yuan because of the difficulty in exchanging outside of China and Hong Kong. |
