I need to get a Chinese tourist visa from Seoul (UK passport)...

I have just been reading lots of information on Chinese visas in general on this site... all very interesting, but I am a bit unsure of how long you can actually spend in China... I would ideally like to spend 90 days there... is it possible to get a 90 day tourist visa?

Or if I am only given 30 days, can I renew up to 60 days, or up to 90 days?

Does it matter where I renew? (ideally I would renew in Shanghai)

Does anyone know about getting a Chinese visa in Seoul... How long will they give me?

many thanks

Wilfrid

Of course, you can get a Chinese tourist visa in seoul.
and also possible to get a 90-day tourist visa.^^

Consulate of the people's republic of China in Korea
Where: Kyobo builiding 9th floor
How to go: take the subway line no. 5 and get off Kwanghwamun Station. go out to exit no. 3
(you will find huge brown colored building with ease. if you can not look for, ask to anyone)
When: monday~friday(09:00~12:00)
they don't recieve applying afternoon.
Fee: If you have an UK passport...
35000 KRW(single entry, it will take 4-day except saturday, sunday, and other holiday of korea and china)
59000 KRW(single entry, issue next day)
70000 KRW(single entry, issue afternoon[if you apply before 10 o'clock])
53000 KRW(double entries, same condition)
77000 KRW(double entries, issue next day)
88000 KRW(double entries, issue afternoon[if you apply before 10 o'clock])
*the length of your visit(30, 60, 90 days) does not influence on your visa fee.

And you can renew up your visa in China.
However it is very complicated and stressful job.
And especially Shanghai and Beijing, officers tend to renew only 7~10 days.
I'm advising you to get a 90-day visa.
