air travel to Lhasa from Shanghai? |
|
|
How difficult is it to fly from Shanghai directly to Lhasa, with permits?
I'm trying to coordinate three complicated, tight schedules and save money too. My companions and I are arriving in China from different cities. I know it's not the prefered option, but how difficult is it to get permits and flights from Shanghai direct to Lhasa? Does anyone know flight schedules from Shanghai to Lhasa, or better still, which airlines make that run? How do you get a permit in Shanghai? Do you know any reliable agents who can prearrange?
I have a short time to research this and so would really appreciate pointers that can help me get this done quickly! |

you can arrange to go to Tibet from Shanghai. But the flight will stop in Chengdu anyway, and the Shanghai company will tell you all sorts of rubbish regarding permit requirements and cost.
I tried. I asked a lot of questions and knew more than them, and they suggested I go to Chengdu and arrange it like everyone else
get yourselves on a flight to Chengdu
spend a day or two there arranging Tibet, very easy
while you wait, visit the pandas. |
