Hip Hotel in Xi'an--recommendation from fellow travelers |
|
|
My guide book says the Hyatt is the place to be in Xi'an, but I'm thinking the Sheraton. Has anyone stayed in either? I'll be in town for the Lantern Festival, Feb 24. Usually I lodge in hostel, but I've got only a week in China and I get to splurge. Thanks in advance!
P.S. Any ideas for a swanky hotel in Beijing (under $120 a night.) |

I have just been to Xi'an and I had a chance to see all three major hotels there, because we are going to move to Xi'an and will get an apartment in a hotel. The Sheridan is very dark, I think. The Hyatt is very nice, but also dark to my taste.
I like the Shangri-La the best. It is nice and bright and modern and has by far the best pool and gym.
I hope this helps. |
