getting a visa for vietnam in Hongkong, how much? |
|
|
Hi as an Irish passport holder in Hongkong for 3 months-can anyone tell me if I can get a visa for Vietnam and Cambodia while I am in Hongkong-I know I can get my Chinese visa here.
How much do they cost and is it cheaper to get them at the border as I am travelling overland
thanks |

Yes, in fact it's very simple to get visas in Hong Kong at the various consulates. It may be slightly cheaper at the border areas, but you are likely to save yourself a fair amount of time and hassle just getting the visas in Hong Kong. The Vietnam visa is available at the consulate in Wanchai at a funny named building on 230 Wanchai Road called, I think, Great Smart Tower...white building nice lobby, near the Charterhouse Hotel. The Cambodia Consulate is in Star House. You'll be fine if you can wait up to a week for your visa per consulate, which it sounds like you can. |
