How dangerous is Tiger Leaping gorge tour? |
|
|
We plan to walk through the Tiger Leaping Gorge in June. However we've heard it could be very dangerous. Did you walk the Gorge in the last few years and can you tell us something about the dangers?
We would also like to know if there are alternative trekkings from Lijang of three or four days. |

There are two ways when visit the Tiger Leaping Gorge.
One is you can visit the recommanded spots by bus which is fast and saving labour.
The other is by foot. You can choose the path of the Baha jokul,or the Macadam.
But I think the latter one can make you fully enjoy the beauty and danger of Tiger Leaping Gorge. |

Hello,It depends in which months you visit. If you go after the rain you might take extra precaution. I took my Mother there last October (I think it is the best time to go hiking!) Here is what I did:I stay right in Lijiang town. If you want to go without the tourguide you might need at least 3 days since you are on foot. I found a small group tour guide right in the Lijang old town. I forgot the name of the travel agent. The tour guide only take small group. He will explain to you on the map and show you where he will guide you to save you time.It was the great treking I ever had! Fun and exicted . |
