northwestern part of the city is 15 km from
downtown. It connects in the air with 47 cities
in China, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou,
Sanya, etc. The international flights could
direct to: Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka, Fukuyama,
Sendai, Hiroshima (Japan), Seoul (Korea),
and Pyongyang (North Korea). In 1998, the
passenger flow volume were 2.117 million person-time,
postal freight handling capacity was 48, 000
