Cycle tour from Lhasa to Kathmandu

Breathtaking is perhaps an understatement when describing this bike trip linking two of the world's most exotic capital cities. We will begin this odyssey after four days in Lhasa, which will enable you to acclimate and visit many of the city's beautiful temples and palaces. Monastery towns line our route as we travel westward parallel to the towering Himalayan Range, camping alongside nomads and their families.

Through the course of our journey we will negotiate six high mountain passes, reaching elevations of almost 18,000 feet. One special highlight will be a ride to the Everest Base Camp. An unforgettable descent will bring us from the rocky Tibetan Plateau down into the lush green landscape of Nepal.the Qinghai-Tibet plateau.

DAY .1

Arrive at Beijing.

Arrive Beijing. You will be met by our guide in Beijing and transfred to hotel.

DAY .2

Beijing - Chengdu

After breakfast fly to Chengdu. You will be met by our guide in Chengdu and transfred to hotel.

DAY .3

Chengdu - Lhasa

Fly to Lhasa Airport which is two hours drive from Lhasa and transfred to Lhasa.

DAY .4-5

Lhasa

Two day Lhasa city sightseeing tour and preperation.

Lhasa - Chushur

Start our cycling journey towards Chusur.Total distance is 50km,Overnight Camp ing.

DAY .7

Chushur - Kampala Pass - Baidi

Proceed to Baidi via Kampala Pass. Total distance is 70km,Overnight Camp ing.

DAY .8

Baidi - Karola - Longma

Proceed to Longma via Karola. Total distance is 70km,Overnight Camp ing.

DAY .9

Longma - Gyantse

Proceed to another big city in Tibet-Gyantse. Total distance is 70km,Overnight stay in guest house .

DAY .10

Gyantse - Shigatse

Today we will cycle to Shigatse, Todays`s total distance is 90km, the roud condition is better. Overnight stay in guest house .

DAY .11

Shigatse - Geding

Proceed to Geding . Total distance is 60km,Overnight Camp ing.

DAY .12

Geding - Younongla Pass

Procedd to Younongla Pass. Total distance is 50km,Overnight Camp ing.

Youongla - Lhatse

Proceed to Lhatse. Total distance is 44km,Overnight Camp ing.

Lhatse - Sakya

Proceed to Sakya Monastery, 30km,Overnight Camp ing.

Sakya - Gyatsola

Proceed to Gyatsola Pass. Total distance is 70km,Overnight Camp ing.

Gyatsola -Shekar

Proceed to Shekar. Total distance is 30km,Overnight Camp ing.

Shekar - Tingri

Tingri - Dongba
