ITINERARY |
| Day
1. Arrive at Beijing |
| Our
guide will meet you at the airport and arrange transportation
to your hotel. |
| Day
2. Beijing |
| We
explore the Forbidden City of Beijing today as well as the
capital's massive Tiananmen Square. Later this afternoon,
we'll hear tales of Empress Dowager Cixi as we stroll through
her Summer Palace, China's best-preserved royal garden. Tonight
Peking Duck is on the menu, followed by a show of daring and
agile acrobatics.¡¡ |

3. Beijing |
| Walking
the Great Wall of China is a once-in-a-lifetime experience,
and this morning we head to the small town of Huanghua to
begin this incredible adventure. After a picnic lunch on the
Wall we return to Beijing via the equally impressive Ming
Tombs, and cruise canals in boats lit with traditional red
lanterns. We'll disembark in time to enjoy dinner with a local
family. |

4. Beijing/Wuhan |
| Morning
flight to Wuhan. After lunch you will have a free afternoon
and evening to explore the city at your own pace. |
| Day
5. Wuhan/Yichang |
| In
the morning, visit the Yellow Crane Tower and the Hubei Provincial
Museum, one of China's most important cultural expositions.
After lunch, take motor coach to Yinchang City where you will
board the five-star river cruiser MS East King, which leaves
Yichang City at night. |
| Day
6. Yangtze River Cruise |
| Sail
into the spectacular Xiling Gorge, the longest of the Three
Gorges. Then experience a once in a lifetime adventure. Transfer
to a small river boat and cruise up the tributary Shennongxi
Stream for a close-up view of the life of the local minority
people. In the afternoon, cruise through the Wu Gorge with
its deep zigzagging valley and lush forested mountains. Finally,
in the evening the cruise ship enters Qutang, the third and
last of the Three Gorges. |

7. Yangtze River Cruise |
| Today
you will face a difficult choice. Either tour Shibaozhai,
a famous pagoda balanced precariously on top of a steep cliff
near the shore of the Yangtze, or attend a shore excursion
to Wanxian County, where you will be afforded an intimate
glimpse of the local peoples' lifestyle. |

8. Chongqing/Xi'an |
| Disembark
MS EAST KING and enjoy a city tour of Chongqing. Take an afternoon
flight to Xi'an |
| Day
10. Xi'an |
| Visit
the Terra Cotta army of 6000 warriors and horses buried with
China's first emperor, Qin Shihuang, more than 2000 years
ago. An afternoon tour will first take you to the Banpo Neolithic
Village Museum followed by a tour of the ancient city wall.
Dinner tonight is followed by an amazing Tang Dynasty Music
& Dance Show. |

12. Xi'an/Shanghai |
| Morning
flight to Shanghai . After lunch in Shanghai, visit the Yu
Yuan Garden. Enjoy fabulous performance by the Shanghai Acrobats
Troupe in the evening. |
| Day
13. Shanghai. |
| Visit
the Jade Buddha Temple. In the afternoon, visit People's Square,
which is within walking distance of the shopping paradise
of Nanjing Road, the New Shanghai Museum and City Hall. Enjoy
a farewell dinner. |
| Day
13. Departure from Shanghai. |
| After
a leisurely breakfast, you will have a free morning to relax
or take a final look at the city. Afternoon transfer to airport
for returning home with treasured memories of a unique China
experience. . |
