Nanjing Hotel Information
For a city of its size Nanjing boasts numerous high quality hotels, many of which fit in to the mid to top end range of the price scale (RMB500-RMB1500).
The best areas to be be based around are either Xinjeikou which is the main shopping area of the city and near Gulou which is the University and finance district. Nanjing is however, an easy city to navigate and taxis and public transport are cheap and efficient here so location is not as important a consideration as it may be in other cities.
The International Hotels have all made their mark here and the Hilton Hotel is in a good location and provides the expected standards of accommodation and service. There are also other less well known but equally good Hotels in the city center. The Growne Plaza Hotel is a gorgeous and sumptuous place in the heart of the city.
There are good mid range (RMB300-RMB500) Hotels scattered about the city, most provide similar services and facilities. One exception however is the Central Hotel, which is a luxurious hotel in the heart of the city.
At the bottom end of the scale the choice is more limited. Budget accommodation in Nanjing centers around the Universities, but this is a great area to be based for sight seeing, restaurants and bars. |
