Lugu Lake, 2680 meters above sea level,lise in the Ninglang YiAutonomous Country of the Lijiang Prefecture,and is a freshwater lake on the plateau. The lake covers an area of more than 50 square kilometers. The average depth is
about 45 meters, and the deepest spot is 93 meters. It is one of the deepest freshwater lakes in China, and one of the places where the natural ecology of the water in the lake and the environment around it receives the best reservation.

The water in the lake is clear and transparent with a light sweet taste. There are three small island. In the lake: Liwubi Island, Snake Island and LigeIsland. In the water there are Caps,brachymystax lenoks and schizothoraxes, On the sur faced the lake there are swam, wild goose,white crans,red-crown cranes,teals, etc. In the lake the Mosuo grils in accordion-plated skirts are sailing the small, old simple "beats shaped like a trough for feeding pigs". On the north of the lake lies the Gemu Mountain, also called the "Gaddess
Mountain". The scene of the lake and mountainshows the tender and charm of the girls.so Lugu take has got another beautiful name, "Girls NatiOn".
