The Resort at Jinshitan opened in 1992, a response to the state government's plea for improved tourist facilities. This impressive beach stretches along the sands for more than 15 kilometers, has a pretty location and offers good opportunities for relaxing and swimming.
This is an attractive spot, surrounded by blue waters and sandy beaches as well as strangely-shaped reefs and backed by green hills and mountains. There are additional facilities here, especially good for sports fans, who can play volleyball or soccer on the sands. The sea is clean and you can swim here too- unusual for China!
How to get Jinshitan : The Resort is over 40km from downtown Dalian, there are tourist buses to the resort that leave from the square outside Dalian Railway Station.
